Spa Pick: Intraceuticals Infusion Treatment for youthful skin
What do Madonna, Eva Longoria and Naomi Campbell have in common besides fierce star quality? They're all fans of a high-tech skincare system called Intraceuticals that takes on wrinkles and dry, dull skin with a vengeance.
Now available at the Arizona Biltmore Spa in Phoenix, the Intraceuticals Oxygen Infusion treatment delivers nutrient-rich serums deep within the skin via pressurized oxygen. The supercharged oxygen facial stimulates cell turnover, strengthens collagen and elastin fibers, and leaves skin deeply hydrated and plump.
And hey, if Madonna likes it, so do we.
How it works:
The three-stage process is called hyaluronic layering. A substance found naturally in the skin, hylaluronic acid intensely hydrates skin, lessens the appearance of lines and sagging skin, and is a central component of each step in the process. Using an infusion wand, the therapist first uses cooling, pressurized oxygen to apply the first layer of concentrated serum. Next, a hydration gel is applied that prevents moisture loss. The treatment finishes with a binding cream that locks in hydration.
Why it works:
The super-hydrating system stimulates an osmotic response that kicks in cell renewal and keeps skin refreshed and firmer within 24 hours following each treatment. Targeted home care products enhance the results and come targeted to skin type:
Rejuvenate (anti-aging), Opulence (brightening), Clarity (healing) and Atoxelene (a wrinkle-smoothing, injection-alternative serum).
