Dr. Vann's practice emphasizes body sculpting procedures including liposuction and abdominoplasty, breast enlargements, breast lifts and breast reductions. He has a special interest in hand surgery, including endoscopic treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome, as well as body-sculpting in patients who have experienced large amounts of weight loss.
Dr. Vann received his M.D. from the Medical College of Georgia and completed residency at Savannah's Memorial Health University Medical Center. He then completed his residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga, where he also completed a fellowship in microvascular surgery (surgery in which small nerves and blood vessels are repaired). Dr. Vann is board certified in both General Surgery and in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, as well as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Vann is a former Chief of Surgery at Memorial Health University Medical Center.

Dr. Vann has been in practice in Savannah since 1985 and he served as a managing partner of Savannah Plastic Surgery for many years and is currently managing partner of Savannah Plastic Surgicenter. He is active in both his church and community activities, including yearly trips to Guatemala to correct cleft lip and burn scar patients. Dr. Vann understands the importance of communication between the physician and patient, assuring the utmost in patient satisfaction.
