In 1992, she spent a year in New York with French Aromatherapist Gabrielle Perret coordinating training classes and developing education materials for Essensa Aromatherapy for upscale, exclusive spas and salons in North and South America. Upon returning to Georgia, Michelle joined Savannah Plastic Surgery as their in-office esthetician. Over the past decade, Michelle has worked with the physicians at SPS to add home treatment protocols, in-office facials and peels, makeup, and other complementing treatments to provide comprehensive skin care options for their patients. Michelle specializes in pre and post-surgery protocols, Corrective Skin Care programs for damaged skin, Chemical Peels, Permanent Makeup and Microdermabrasion. She has been a featured speaker regionally and nationally on medical skin treatment at such prestigious medical organizations as the ASPRN and the SPSSCS. Michelle also served as Program Chair at the national conference in Boston in 2002 where she recruited renowned medical and skin care professionals for the educational program including Dr. Nicholas Perricone (The Wrinkle Cure), Dr. Barry Sears (The Zone, The Omega Zone), and Christina Carlino (Philosophy).

Michelle attends medically based educational programs on a yearly basis to remain updated on the most advanced skin care protocols and treatment devices in the industry. She continues to remain focused on providing her patients with proven skin care therapies and steering them clear of gimmicks ineffective treatment modems.

In March of 2006 Michelle, was appointed to the Georgia State Board of Cosmetology by the Governor of Georgia, Governor Sonny Perdue. The Board is responsible for reviewing applications, administering examinations, licensing qualified applicants and regulating the professional practice of licensees throughout the state.

Michelle's involvement on the Board means further representation for the medical skin care industry. She will be a great influence on the integration of medical skin care perspectives in an industry that is largely dominated by companies allied with luxury brands that cater to department store and beauty salon needs.

Michelle's background with Society Of Plastic Surgical Skin Care Specialists paired with her position on the Board will help promote education in the cosmetology and medical skin care specialty. The goal is to provide more education and the delivery of safe, quality skin care for our patients.
