Anyone with overall good health who desires enlargement of their buttock is a candidate. They also need to have adequate fat in other areas to use to transfer to the buttock. They also should desire the reduction of fat in the areas where the fat is removed.
Do I have liposuction too?
Yes, liposuction is how we harvest the fat to transfer to the buttock. The common areas to liposuction for transfer are abdomen, flanks, and thighs. The liposuction of the flanks and lateral thighs helps enhance the enlargement of the buttock by reducing these surrounding areas.
Is the liposuction fat processed before it is placed in the buttock?
Yes, the fat is separated from the fluids that come out with the liposuction, mixed with antibiotics and placed in syringes to be placed in the buttock. It is injected into the buttock through tiny incisions similar to the tiny liposuction incisions, closed with one stitch.
Is the result permanent?
There is always some swelling that occurs that takes a few days or weeks to completely resolve. Some fat does resorb but the correction present at three months is permanent.
Can the enhancement be repeated to get even larger?
As long as there are more areas of fat to harvest, the procedure can be repeated to further enhance the buttock.
