Dr. Dan DeLoach is a native of Georgia and grew up in the south Central area of the state. He has lived here all of his life, except for a few years during his education. He received his M.D. degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta.

After finishing medical school, Dr. DeLoach moved to Savannah in 1974 to begin his postdoctoral education in the Surgery Residency Program at Memorial Medical Center. After completing training in General Surgery, he took and passed the board examination to become a diplomat of the American Board of Surgery, or as more commonly termed, Board Certified in General Surgery.

For further training, Dr. DeLoach attended the University of Tennessee Clinical Education Center in Chattanooga for an additional 2-year Residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. After completing the residency program, Dr. DeLoach took and passed his board certification exams for the American Board of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery to become Board Certified in Plastic Surgery as well.

Dr. DeLoach has been an innovator since beginning his practice here. He has brought or helped to bring new techniques as well as new technology to Savannah. Drs. DeLoach and Ruf are founding members of the Georgia southeastern Cleft Lip and Palate Clinic, the first such clinic in the Savannah area. Being honored to serve as Chief of Staff at Memorial Medical Center, he was instrumental in planning many of the current services, such as Same Day Surgery, the 23-Hour Unit and the Hyperbaric Oxygen Unit. He was the first Memorial chief of Staff to serve two consecutive terms.

Being recognized as a leader in the medical community, Dr. Deloach was elected as an officer to the Georgia Medical society where he served both as Secretary and then President of the society. During his years as an officer of the Medical Society, Dr. Deloach, along with the Auxiliary, began the Growing Healthy Program in the Chatham County Public School system, teaching young children how to live a healthier life style. The Growing Healthy Program is now taught in twenty-three elementary schools in Chatham County, teaching thousands of children the importance of good health every year. Dr. DeLoach now serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Medical Association of Georgia.

Dr. DeLoach has also been appointed Clinical Professor of Surgery (Plastic) at Mercer University School of Medicine and Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery (Plastic) at the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. DeLoach has contributed many papers to surgical literature and is published in such prestigious journals as Annuals of Plastic Surgery, Journal of Trauma, American Surgeon and Archives of Surgery among others. Currently, he serves on the Editorial board of the Journal of the Medical Association of Georgia and is President of the Georgia Society of Plastic Surgeons. He has also received research grants from Abbott Laboratories, Squibb Corporation, Howmedica Corporation and SSI Corporation.

Recently, he has served as Medical Director of the Coastal Georgia Wound Care Center and Savannah Plastic Surgicenter. Dr. Deloach is a member of many medical organizations including the American Society of Plastic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).

For over twenty years, Dr. DeLoach has been here in Savannah, Georgia helping, teaching, leading and healing. He is a kind, caring physician who has dedicated his life to state-of-the-art quality healthcare for all. Dr. DeLoach has a wealth of experience in performing cosmetic procedures including full-face laser resurfacing, liposuction, breast augmentation, adominoplasty (tummy tucks), facelift and eyelifts.
