Tummy Tuck in Savannah, GA

The tummy tuck procedure, also known as abdominoplasty, is a common surgery for women wanting to regain their pre-baby shape after pregnancy. But the benefits can be much more than aesthetic. We hear from tummy tuck patients all the time who say the procedure also reduced their back pain and urinary incontinence.

recent study published in the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Journal confirms our findings. The researchers surveyed more than 200 women in Australia who were having tummy tucks, and many of them reported difficulty with back pain and incontinence prior to surgery. After surgery however, a large percentage of them saw improvements with both of these issues.

During pregnancy, some women experience abdominal muscle separation, called rectus diastasis. When abdominoplasty incorporates rectus repair, many of these women report reduced back pain and fewer issues with post-partum urinary incontinence.

If you're interested in a tummy tuck, we have lots of information on our website, including before and after photos and 3D animations. We also offer complimentary consultations for cosmetic procedures, so contact us to make an appointment with one of our six surgeons and see if abdominoplasty might be right for you.
