Growing Up With Big Breasts

|
LargeBreasts-400.jpg
When people think about breasts and plastic surgery, they often think about augmentations. After all, many women grow up wishing they could fill out their shirts or show off just a little bit of cleavage like their bustier friends.

But if you were born with large breasts, you know there are some problems that come along with all that cleavage - like back pain, posture issues, and difficulty with exercise. We came across a Huffington Post blog on this topic - it's an irreverent take on the difficulties of growing up with large breasts. You can read it here.

While the article is humorous, the underlying issues are real. Overly large breasts can cause problems for women, and more than just aesthetic problems. Thankfully, health insurance will often cover breast reduction surgery, and we can help you apply for coverage. If that article sounds like the way you feel about your breasts, then visit our Breast Reduction Information page and then give us a call.

Meanwhile, here are some before-and-after photos of breast reduction patients. You can see even more by visiting our online gallery.

Excess Skin After Weight Loss

|
scale-weightloss-250.jpg
If you've experienced a major weight loss, then you deserve a big congratulations! Shedding unhealthy weight makes you less susceptible to chronic illness, and probably makes you feel better about your appearance too.

But depending on the amount of weight you lost, you may have noticed an unwanted side affect - excess, sagging skin. Your skin may not have enough elasticity to snap back into place after a major weight loss.

Not only can the extra loose skin make your clothes uncomfortable, it can also create some medical problems. All those folds of skin can lead to excessive perspiration and uncomfortable skin rashes.

If the excess skin is around your waist, then abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) can be done to remove the extra skin and give your mid-section a much tighter appearance. Other procedures can also be done to remove excess skin on your arms, neck and other areas.

The patient in this before-and-after picture had a major weight loss, and used cosmetic surgery to remove sagging skin.
