Savannah Board Certified Physicians

Founded in 1980 by E.D. DeLoach, M.D. and Lawrence E. Ruf, M.D., Savannah Plastic Surgery is today one of the largest plastic surgery groups in the Southeast. Our practice includes 6 surgeons, all Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
These surgeons are:

• E.D. Deloach
• Lawrence E. Ruf
• Scott W. Vann
• Barbara L. Davies
• F. Chris Pettigrew
• Carl B. Pearl

Board Certification means doctors have:

• Completed a residency in general surgery.
• Completed an approved residency in plastic surgery.
• Passed a rigorous written and oral board examination, and
• Practiced plastic surgery and reconstructive surgery for a minimum of four years, all this in addition to receiving their undergraduate medical degrees.

Our surgeons are leaders in the medical community, too. They hold leadership positions locally and statewide (Ga) in professional organizations. Several have also published journal articles in their field of expertise, lectured on the national scene and participated in research studies.
